The Social Summer Fundraiser, our first online-only fundraiser, takes place August 1-31, 2009. The goal of this campaign is to raise funds strictly through the power of social media. Our mission is to provide toy-filled birthday gift bags to food shelves and shelters so that parents living in poverty can give their child a birthday gift. We believe this simple gesture boosts self-esteem, enhances self-worth, and strengthens bonds in families. The gift bags are distributed to a food shelf or shelter, and placed in the hands of children in need. |
While $50 may not seem that significant, it allows us to provide birthday gift bags for at least five children. It is only through the generous gifts of people like you that we can continue to provide for this need in our communities. Please consider donating in any amount using the ChipIn button above.
