Darlene Westgor Wins Nick at Nite's "Funniest Mom in America"

Burnsville, Minnesota resident Darlene Westgor was crowned "Funniest Mom in America" by Nick at Nite on Tuesday, May 3, 2005. Darlene Westgor bested 1,000 other contestants to make the Top Five Finalists and then capture the national title. As the winner, Darlene will host Nick at Nite's special "Funny Mother's Day" on Sunday, May 8th at 9pm.

A single mother to two teenage boys, and self-described unwelcome addition to the suburbs where she now lives, Darlene will take you through a typical day of feigning interest in the vacuous lives of her soccer mom counterparts while trying to keep her own family from looking too much like the Osbournes.

Acme Comedy Company, in conjunction with FM107 and Hennepin theatre Trust, is proud to announce a show headlining Darlene Westgor on Saturday, June 11th at Hennepin Stages to benefit Cheerful Givers of Minnesota. Hosting the show is local comedy favorite Dave Mordal, star of NBC Last Comic Standing.

Cheerful Givers is a Minnesota based non-profit organization that provides birthday gift bags to food shelves and shelters for disadvantaged children. Since its beginning in 1994, Cheerful givers has provided over 100,000 children with these wonderful birthday surprises.
