Giving Back

Several years ago we made a commitment to support two special local groups of volunteers – teens with disabilities and the elderly.  Special education students in District 287 at the Vocational Evaluation & Training School in Brooklyn Park, MN along with elderly residents at The Homestead (read more about The Homestead) in Maplewood, MN fill our gift bags on a regular basis.

For the students, we are helping them to learn important job skills and both groups enjoy the gratification of knowing they are making a difference in their community.  In this way, we are teaching some people to give and others to receive.

To make this opportunity available to other groups, funding is needed.
