Seventy Faegre & Benson attorneys from across the USA and from London took time out of their meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis to assemble toy-filled birthday bags.
As a result of their efforts, 1,000 less fortunate children will be having a Happy Birthday!

Thanks to some wonderful singers, dancers, cheer team, celebrities, photographers and volunteers, “The Great Minnesota Birthday Party” which was held at the Mall of America on April 9th, was a great success. Special thanks to our great MC, Elizabeth Ries of Twin Cities Live, and generous sponsors: Microsoft Store, Minnesota Twins Wives Organization, Motorwerks MINI, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (Central Mpls., Northern Dakota County & Washington County Chapters), Bremer Bank and Cultural Care Au Pair.

Tickets to our Cheerful Givers “Breakfast With the Minnesota Twins” fundraiser sold out nearly a month before the event! However, we now have 2 VIP tickets available.
The breakfast takes place on Saturday, May 28th from 9:30-10:30am at The Chart House restaurant in Lakeville, MN.
Each ticket entitles you to entrance to the event, a pancake breakfast, and an autograph on one item from Michael Cuddyer, Jim Thome, and Glen Perkins.
We will auction 8 total tickets over the coming weeks. 100% of the bid price (after fees) will be donated to Cheerful Givers!

Students at the Next Step Transitions Program got together on April 27th to fill the 400,000th birthday bag since Cheerful Givers began in 1994. Because this fantastic group of volunteers take time out of their schedule every day to assemble birthday bags, we thought it fitting that they should also help us fill this milestone bag.
Program Coordinator, Hank Magnuson, noted “the excitement of our students was at an all-time high in filling this special bag. We are so pleased to be part of Cheerful Givers.”

Please join us in wishing the first Cheerful Giver, our founder and board chair, Robin Steele, all the best on this special day.
It’s also a great time to recall the the inspiration Robin had to start Cheerful Givers in the first place. She started with just 12 bags and the dream that parents living in poverty could give their child a birthday gift. That dream is now a reality as we have distributed almost 400,000 birthday bags (and counting).
We provide toy-filled birthday gift bags to food shelves and shelters so that parents living in poverty can give their child a birthday gift.
