2007 was another record-breaking year for Cheerful Givers. 41,095 less fortunate children were able to experience the joy of receiving a birthday gift from their parents.
2007 Accomplishments
- 3,878 volunteers gave their time to brighten a
child's birthday
- 130 shelters and food shelves distributed birthday gift bags for less
fortunate children
- 402 donors made financial contributions
- In-kind donations valued at $445,079
- 200,000th birthday bag since Cheerful Givers began was filled by Founder,
Robin Maynard
- Delaware author wrote book about Cheerful Givers
- Governor Pawlenty declared April 22 Cheerful Givers Day throughout Minnesota
- Big Birthday Bash was held in the Rotunda at the Mall of America
- Be The Change Award received from Hands On Twin Cities at Volunteer Expo
- Pilot group in Washington expanded
- Cities 97 Radio Sampler CD Charity
- Ecolab volunteer teams expand to Grand Forks
- Partnered with two nonprofits on National Make A Difference Day
- Introduced Cheerful Givers to many schools, churches,
corporations and civic groups
- Entered the world of social networking on Facebook and Myspace and created a
blog
- Monthly E-Newsletters to 1,600 Individual
