Special education students at the Southwest Metro program in Shakopee, Minnesota have been creating colorful bean bags to add to the birthday bags they assemble, which requires supplies as well as skills. The group was pleased when former MN Twin, Michael Cuddyer and his wife, Claudia, offered to help provide some of the needed supplies. To thank them, the group of students sent this note.
Thank you for being so kind for donating the rice to help us fill the bean bags to make children happy on their birthdays. We reached our goal of packaging 1,000 birthday bags in September.
