In August, 2007, Robin Maynard-Steele, Cheerful Givers Founder, filled the 200,000th birthday gift bag since the organization began in 1994. On Monday, May 18, we will fill the 300,000th bag, which means 300,000 kids have been able to celebrate their birthday as a result of the wonderful giving by our volunteers and donors.

In 1994, there were 700 birthday bags created. If the organization had continued at that same rate, we would have reached about 10,000 kids instead of 300,000. And with the cost of an average gift bag (including ten items) at $10, that means birthday bags valued at more than $3 million have been donated.

On May 18, employees and executives at Ecolab headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota plan to fill another 100 gift bags which will include that magical milestone 300,000th bag. To everyone who has contributed to making all of this happiness happen, we say thank you!
