The 4th & 5th graders in Miss Yvonne Schneider’s after school group at Rondo Discovery Club in the St. Paul Public School District were one of  200 winners in the 2008 Scholastic Book Club’s Classrooms Care ‘Care Where You Are’ Sweepstakes.  The group was awarded 10 fifty book libraries to donate locally. Students were among 16,000 classrooms nationwide that were entered into the sweepstakes for collectively reading 100 books this fall. The kids figured out they had a 1.25% chance of winning!

Scholastic Books also donated a library to one of their literacy partners in response to the group reading 100 books. Cheerful Givers was one of the 10 programs that the students chose to receive one of the fifty book libraries.
