If you’ve never written a grant application, you may not realize the amount of time, thought and paper that go into almost every application. Because foundations are giving away thousands of dollars, they need to be sure it is going to a worthwhile cause. And because most nonprofits need grant $, there’s tough competition for those dollars.

MattelThis week we got news from the Mattel Children’s Foundation that we will receive a $5,000 grant and that we are one of 37 nonprofits nationwide (and the only one in Minnesota) who will receive a grant. They said they received almost 1,000 grant applications from across the USA. Great news! But we’re still out there trying to find new places where we might apply. Any suggestions??
